There are so many great things to say about Pet Butler. It really boils down to the mind behind it all, “Red” Boswell. When I fiurst met him, I could sense he was not an ordinary man, and after spending one week at Poop University with him I felt honored to be his student. Before I told him about it I made him promise me that he would NOT do it… well, that’s one promise he obviously did NOT keep. “As the spouse of a Pet Butler Franchise owner, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend a Pet Butler Franchise to anyone else. Prior to becoming an Entremanure, my wife was a very well paid Hotel Executive with significant responsibilities for the fiscal performance of a major Hotel chain. I miss those days. Free rooms, endless buffets, room service, cocktail parties, travel. Such was the life of a Hotel Executive Spouse. More importantly, her job was endlessly demanding and she came home every night, occasionally before 9 pm, completely exhausted, physically and mentally. This meant there was never a domestic power struggle for the remote control; our schedules never conflicted since she was rarely available for any non-Hotel activities; I got all of our dog’s affection and I got first crack at any goodies in the refrig. Also, she never had any energy to do anything on those rare weekends when she wasn’t working, so I was never dragged away on weekend trips, pleasure outings or any type of recreational activity. I was free to hang out with friends or slob on the couch in front of the TV if I wanted. That’s all changed now. She controls her schedule, is master of her own destiny, a dynamo of energy - just watching her exhausts me. The worst part is, now that she is in the dog doo trade she’s never pooped. With no boss to complain about, she’s actually happy all the time, it’s driving me crazy. She accomplishes more by 9 am than I do all day, and that silly “I’m working for myself” grin is really pretty annoying. Oh, and now she applies her ingenious business plans for increased profits, that used to benefit her Hotel employer - who would generously reward her with glowing adjectives in her annual performance review, to increasing her own profits. We do miss reading those annual performance reviews. So now she’s dragging me off to weekend events and we are both getting ridiculously healthy to the point where she’s reclaimed the treadmill. Now I have to find a different place to hang my clothes. Maybe I’ll hang them on the corporate ladder she’s no longer climbing. I haven’t given up on getting her to fire herself though, I miss my complimentary “all you can eat” Sunday brunches at the Hotel."
