How much does the pooper scooper service cost?
Cost of services is based on number of dogs, the last time your yard was scooped and the frequency of our visits. Services are billed monthly and you can pay online with MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express credit cards. Call us at 732-865-9088 or fill out the form for a FREE PERSONALIZED QUOTE!
Do I have to be home for the service?
NO, you do not have to be home while our technician cleans your yard. We can perform the service as long as we can access your yard. Please contact us at 732-865-9088 if you do have a locked gate or a code is needed for entrance.
What happens when the technician arrives?
When your technician arrives, they will scoop up and bag all pet waste. Next, your technician will shut your gate securely and remove all of the dog waste when they leave (unless transporting pet waste is against local ordinances in which case we will double bag it, tie off the bag and leave it wherever you would like such as in your outside trash can).
Can my dog be in the yard while Pet Butler is working?
We love dogs! If your dog is friendly with strangers and will allow us to clean the yard, feel free to leave your dog out while we clean your yard. However, if your dog is territorial or unfriendly, please keep your dog indoors until your service has been completed. We do not want to take any unnecessary risks, so please keep this important request in mind.
Should I unlock my gate?
Yes, gates must be UNLOCKED. For safety reasons, we will not climb or jump over any gates or fences. If your gate has a combination lock, please contact us at 732-865-9088 and inform us of the combination or passkey prior to your first service. If your gate is locked or blocked (or if your dog will not allow us to clean the yard), it may be necessary to charge for the service that could not be completed.
What if I have any questions related to my service, need to provide updated information such as a new pet, or if I need to notify Pet Butler that I’m moving?
If you have any questions related to your service, updates to your contact information, or if you are adding another dog to your family, let us know as soon as possible by calling us at 732-865-9088 and we will update your account.
How is my service day availability determined?
Our routing system determines the best day of service based on your address.
Does dog or yard size affect the cost for pet waste removal services?
Dog size does not matter. From Great Danes to Chihuahuas, we scoop it all and are up for the challenge. After your first visit, if applicable, Pet Butler will notify you if you have an “oversized yard”. Cost of poop scooping services is based on number of dogs, the last time your yard was scooped and the frequency of our visits.
Is there a first-time or new sign-up cleanup fee?
An Accumulated Waste Fee will be incurred if the yard has not been thoroughly cleaned within 1 week upon inspection at your first visit.
What if I want to move or skip a service day?
If you need to move or skip a service day, please call 732-865-9088, 48 hours before your service date. Whether you’re going on vacation or the dog won’t be home, we will pause service. We will scoop your yard on the next scheduled visit or when you let us know to continue service.
What happens if it rains, snows, or there’s inclement weather on my service day?
Pet Butler will continue to service your yard throughout the year in your Island Heights area. Doing so will keep your yard waste free and help maintain a healthier environment for you and your pet. We monitor the weather closely and do our best to get to your yard before any severe weather occurs. Our techs will work during the rain, but heavy rainfall and thunderstorms may prevent us from scooping. If there are any changes in schedules or cancellations due to inclement weather, we will notify you via email.
Spring brings lots of rain and fast growing grass. To best service you, we request you to mow regularly to ensure all pet waste is picked up. Unfortunately, tall grass can make scooping tough.
During the fall and winter months, if poop is hidden in the leaves, snow or is frozen in the ground, we can’t scoop it up. we may miss some frozen piles during our visit. This is due to poop being frozen to the soil and we're unable to extract without damaging the lawn. Please clear the path of debris and snow so our techs have access to your yard. Our biggest winter challenge is often opening gates. Make sure to remove the snow on the inside of the gate and check latches and locks. If we are unable to open the gate, we will not be able to service your yard. If your yard has a fence and the gate lock is frozen, our techs will not enter. We want to avoid breaking the gate lock and affecting the safety of our furry friend. No refunds are issued due to inclement weather; that just means we have double the poop to scoop on your next scheduled visit. If weather permits, we will remove all the missed waste on your next visit at no additional charge. Please remember our service is guaranteed. That means we will come back out if you are not satisfied with our service.
