Frequently Asked Questions

1.
How much does the pooper scooper service cost?
Service cost varies depending on number of dogs, visits, and the last time your yard has been scooped. Call us at 513-878-3994 for a FREE PERSONALIZED QUOTE!
2.
Do I have to be home for the service?
You do not have to be home while our technician cleans your yard. We can perform the service as long as we can access your yard. Please contact us at 513-878-3994 if you do have a locked gate or a code is needed for entrance.
3.
What happens when the technician arrives?
When your technician arrives, they will scoop up and bag all pet waste. Next, your technician will shut your gate securely and remove all of the dog waste when they leave (unless transporting pet waste is against local ordinances in which case we will double bag it, tie off the bag and leave it wherever you would like such as in your outside trash can).
4.
Can my dog be in the yard while Pet Butler is working?
We love dogs! If your dog is friendly with strangers and will allow us to clean the yard, feel free to leave your dog out while we clean your yard. However, if your dog is territorial or unfriendly, please keep your dog indoors until your service has been completed. We do not want to take any unnecessary risks, so please keep this important request in mind.
5.
Should I unlock my gate?
Yes, please leave gates unlocked so that we are able to provide your regularly scheduled service. For safety reasons, we will not climb or jump over any gates or fences. If your gate has a combination lock, please contact us at 513-878-3994 and inform us of the combination or passkey prior to your first service. If your gate is locked or blocked (or if your dog will not allow us to clean the yard), it may be necessary to charge for the service that could not be completed.
6.
What if I have any questions related to my service, need to provide updated information such as a new pet, or if I need to notify Pet Butler that I’m moving?
If you have any questions related to your service, updates to your contact information, or if you are adding another dog to your family, let us know as soon as possible by calling us at 513-878-3994 and we will update your account.
7.
What happens if it rains, snows, or there’s inclement weather on my service day?
Pet Butler works in most conditions, but severe weather may delay or postpone service. For the safety of our employees, Pet Butler may delay service during severe conditions such as hurricanes, tornados, lightning, and dangerously hot or cold weather. In most cases, we will be able to complete service by the end of the next business day. Some weather conditions, such as major flooding or significant fresh snowfall may prevent us from cleaning because we cannot see the waste. In these cases, we may postpone service until conditions improve or cancel the service call. If snow stays on the ground for more than a few days, but there is no new snow to cover your pet's waste, we will do regular cleanups to prevent excessive accumulation. Your pet does not stop producing waste during severe weather conditions and that waste does not go away. When we are able to return to clean the yard, there will be more waste than usual and, in most cases, that waste will be more difficult to clean due to the weather. However, we will NOT charge you any extra for this additional work. In some cases, we may be able to see the waste but not be able to remove it. Waste frozen solidly to the ground and waste reduced to sludge by flooding are two examples. We will clean that waste on the next scheduled visit when conditions allow. Customers who suspend service during severe weather will be subject to an additional fee to cover the expense of cleaning the accumulated waste when service is reinstated.
1.
Are your workers trained and insured?
Pet Butler employees are trained, bonded and insured (including worker’s compensation) pet waste technicians. Our training process means we protect you legally, but we don’t stop there. Each day our technicians are sent out in identifiable trucks and clothing pointing you and your tenants to the fact you are working with a professional, reputable organization.
2.
How often do you do you scoop the poop?
We scoop dog poop anytime you need it for the Dayton area! Our most popular dog waste removal schedules are twice-per-week and once-a-week. Three times a week and every-other-week are also quite popular for pet waste removal services.
3.
Does Pet Butler require a long-term contract?
Here at Pet Butler we have no service contracts and you may stop and continue service as the need arises. If you suspend service, please note that if your pet is continuing to use the yard, there may be an additional charge on your next visit due to the additional accumulation of waste. Please notify us 7 days prior to suspending service.
4.
How does Pet Butler keep our community safe?
Pets and wild life animals carry a large number of diseases, parasites and bacteria. For your pet & yard’s protection a disinfectant spray is used on our tools and shoes between each yard to prevent the spread of disease.
5.
Does Pet Butler rake or move leaves in the fall to find poop?
No, we are here to service your yard the best way possible. We only scoop poop that we see. We recommend you blow away or bag leaves 3-5 times during the fall leaf season so we can effectively scoop the poop.
